All of us wonder what the new trends for the garden year are going to be.  This year is focusing more on the environment and going back to natural areas instead of concrete & hard surfaces.   When going back to the natural look make sure to look for texture and foliage plants to add to your garden and attract the eye.   If you are considering hardscaping, why not try installing pavers instead of concrete.  Pavers allow water to drain back into the water table instead of into the sewer pipes on the street. 

Another trend this year and will continue to be more popular in the future is growing your own fruits and veggies.  This allows you to connect back to nature and you now know where your food came from and appreciate it more.  If you have children it is a great way to teach them more about nature and growing food.
