Fantastic Containers

Now is the time for you to get excited about container gardening.  It is a great way to change to apperance and feeling of your space.  Some tips you want to consider when planting your containers are:

- selecting a group of containers gives a spectacular feel.  Select at least 3 containers for the space that vary in height.

- plant taller and longer blooming perennials or shrubs for the center of your container

- select low growing annuals for the perimeter and trailing areas of your containers. This allows you to change your color and plant selections each year.

- never use garden soil in your containers, it is best to purchase a container potting soil for optimum health and growth.

Mulching

How to begin, thank goodness for mulch.  Just the weed preventing capabilities alone prove it is worth every penny.  It can save you HOURS of weeding time, with a thick layer you will have few weed problems to deal with.  It also decreases evaporation of water from the surface which decreases your water time and saves your resources.  It imporves the soil as it decomposes and encourages earthworms.  Make it a priority to enjoy your garden this year instead of spending all of your free time weeding it!  Call us for details on Mulching installation.
