Went to my first work party today in order to join the dedicated folks at Cottonwood Community Gardens to turn my hand to a bit of veggie gardening. We were lucky with a fair weather morning and I busied myself pruning the apple trees that they have there that apparently crop well.

I was invited to a potluck lunch afterwards and was treated to an amazing spread of smoked salmon, pasta salad, sushi, cookies and scones. Suddenly I knew I had found the right group of people! Gardens and food - two of my most favorite things to share and enjoy with friends.
