What strange stormy weather
What strange stormy weather we have been having lately. I'm getting reports everyday of wind damaged trees and climbers and many container grown shrubs are getting knocked out of their planters. As the stormy season is not yet past us remember to keep your planters that are undercover watered to add weight and stability to them or move them off of elvated areas where they are likely to fall and break in the gusting winds.
It is hard to imagine the beauty and calm of spring ever arriving until we look in that special corner of the garden where the first Snowdrops are showing their delicate petticoats. These small gems remind us that not all things in the garden are dormant now and that soon we will see the flowers of Crocuses, Daffodils, Tulips and Irises emerge and announce their beauty. You can bet I am waiting for them to cheer me up!
