Officially Autumn is upon us and I must say it is absolutely gorgeous! The maples have concentrated all their sugars in the long hours of summer sun and are treating us to a spectacular array of crimson tones -colour's not normally seen here on the West Coast. Grasses are waving tall and proud in the wind displaying their seed heads to glow in the low sunlight.

It is the perfect time of year for planting many perennials and shrubs while the soil is still warm and the plants have a chance to settle themselves in before the winter. Don't forget to tuck in some bulbs tobe well rewarding for your efforts in the Spring when they burst into bloom.
