Summer weather has well and truly arrived

Summer weather has well and truly arrived and we can enjoy the developing annual flowers that have been recently planted as well as our late spring/early summer flowering shrubs.

My neighbours Ceanothus is abuzz with bees and I am enjoying the contrast of their blue flowers with the bright orange balls of flower on the Buddleja globosa. This pattern of sun and rain has a potent affect on the development of a garden and keeps the display at this early part of the season in it's prime. It seems it is hard to go wrong in creating a terrific spring display with so many factors on our side.
