As the Spring sun races across the sky

As the Spring sun races across the sky, the days become longer, the air warmer and once again life begins to return to the land. Twice a year, day and night become equal in length as we have just experienced in the Vernal Equinox.

I welcome the lengthening daylight hours and savour the fast advancing Spring that stirs such excitement in my soul. It is so fabulous to be rewarded each day with emerging flowers and coloured new foliage such as Pieris 'Forest Flame' and Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin' exhibit. Magnolia stellata is a real favorite of mine and I always admire their white, loose flowers that reward closer inspection with a sweet fragrance.
