Spring Colour Trends
Spring is a time of new beginnings, with sprouting plants and blooming flowers that inspire all designers to break out of the winter doldrums. Pantone has identified in it's fashion colour report for spring 2009 many bright colours for the top ten list.
Names such as Fuschia Red, Salmon Rose, Palace Blue and Super Lemon inspire optimism for a bright year. At least we can surround ourselves with fabulous colours to cheer our sprits in these gloomy times.
The Dark Citron is a grown up version of the acid green that has become overused in the last few years as an accent colour to evoke freshness . I really like this green colour combined with the Slate Grey and Salmon Rose. Yummy colours that make me think of gourmet italian icecream in flavours of pistachio and grapefruit.
In our outdoor rooms we can easily add a hit of new colour to keep current by adding cushions in a colour that works with the existing scheme. Pots are available now in a wide array of colours and even summer bedding plants can be added that are in tune with a new colour scheme. They are many ways to bring the inspiration recieved from fashion into our outside spaces and keep these environments looking fresh and up to date.
